RISS application
Hi there, I was just wondering if there were any people here who went through the RISS summer program at CMU. I tried attending one of the virtual sessions, but they never started the actual video call. I just had a few questions about the program and the application
Do you what the average student applicant has in terms of GPA and experience? This is just for me to get a baseline.
How was the actual program, are you independent when working on a research project, or is it more professor driven?
For people not pursuing a career in academia, do you think it was more valuable than an internship at a company?
How are projects assigned, are they given by professors, or do you choose and get it approved by your professor?
